I’ve always been a fan of the annual Girls Night Out event in Steveston and 2018 was no exception. Since we’re open Thursday nights, I thought “Why not serve up some seasonal juice, cheese, discounts and gifts?” We thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening.

Favourite Story

The Steveston Winemakers family loves seeing the people in our community, their friends and family. Our store is one of the happiest places in Steveston , whether you’re coming in to visit, start a batch of wine, bottle your wine or shop. Everyone’s happy! My favourite story for the evening was when a potential customer couldn’t decide whether they wanted to make batch of wine because 30 bottles might be too much for them. A complete stranger, stepped up to the plate and said “I’ll share it with you!”. Only in Steveston … and now there are 2 more happy customers.

Free Gift

Why did we pick a silicone wine glass lid as our giveaway? I’ve been using one for so many years now, I can’t imagine not using one in fruit fly season. I don’t particularly like fruit flies swimming around or expiring in my wine. Even though you can’t really taste them, you never know where they’ve been! It’s frustrating to fish them out. Depending on how many there are, the wine might go down the drain – what a waste. So ladies, enjoy your wine sans fruit flies from now on! If you didn’t make it that night, the lids are available for sale in the store and they make great stocking stuffers. Pair one with a silicone wine glass and you’re all set for Christmas!

Did I say stocking stuffers? We’ve got lots of ideas for under 10 dollars: bottle stoppers, wine glass charms, corkscrews and humorous coasters, napkins and tea towels. Our retail wall is full of Christmas gift ideas for the wine enthusiast in your life. And just for fun, check out the umbrella in a wine bottle! Can’t decide? Our gift certificates come in any amount you like on a labelled bottle – easy to plop in one of our wine bags and you leave the decision to them!

Come on by, even if it’s just to say hello.

Cheers and Happy Holidays!
